Blessed To Call You My Friend - CFC69

When I found out the new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays {CFC69} was embossing, I just had to play along. Dry embossing (especially backgrounds) is one of my favorite techniques for clean-and-simple cards.

To start the card out, I chose my color palette - gray and turquoise. Using a word die, I embossed  'blessed' many times on the turquoise background piece. After cutting the word from the gray cardstock, I adhered it to the first piece using dimensional adhesive. To finish the card I added a stamped sentiment below 'blessed', with a few gems to the left.

Just the details… (1) Used the 'blessed' die to cut out the focal point, as well as to emboss the background, (2) added some clear gems to the left of the hand-cut sentiment banner, (3) did a little decorating on the inside by embossing 'blessed' one last time.
