King of the {Sand} Castle - Whimsie Doodles

Pin ItAs soon as I saw the NEW Pearl's Castle digital image from Whimsie Doodles, I knew I had to create a 3-D look for the little sand castle.

I started the card by printing everything onto a single sheet of kraft cardstock. One side contained the sentiment and image layed out for the card base, and the other half contained 3 more copies of the main image. If you look closely at the detail bar below you can see how I only cut out parts of the image to build the castle.

To finish the card off I adhered the top layers of the castle to the card base, which had the image colored with colored pencils and blended with gamsol. A very quick and easy card.

Make sure to check out all of the other adorable NEW images from Whimsie Doodles this month by clicking HERE.
Just the details… (1 & 2) A close up of the dimension I created with the sand castle, (3) I used colored pencils and gamsol to color in Pearl.

And now a SPECIAL OFFER for fans and readers of my blog: Use the coupon code below (ALICIA10), the next time you shop at the Whimsie Doodles Online Store and receive 10% OFF your order!
