Wishing You Lots of Luck - Whimsie Doodles March Release

The Easter Bunny is on it's way and he's got lots of Whimsie Doodles images in his basket! Today is our March digi-release and we are so excited to share these adorable new images with you!

Before we can get to Easter, we must celebrate St. Patrick's Day as only Whimsie Doodles can-- with total cuteness, of course!

And, this month, how about a versatile Leah that you can use for an adorable birthday card, or even for someone who needs their spirits lifted...
Easter really is around the corner, and these images will surely get you in the Easter spirit!

For today's card I am using the brand NEW Clover Leah image, along with the sentiment from Lucky Boy. Since Whimsie Doodles is sponsoring the latest challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon, I thought it would be fun to play along. Their challenge is to use green and ribbon/lace.

I stuck to just the basics when creating this card. After coloring in Leah, using only green, I cut and matted her in a circle. Using foam tape I adhered the image on top of a green grid strip that had been matted with kraft border strips and topped with some ribbon-threaded lace. For a finishing touch I used my sewing machine on the image and sentiment.

Just the details… (1) Partially colored Leah using shades of green, (2) added punched strips of kraft behind green grid paper for a subtle effect, (3) used green thread to machine-stitch on sentiment and image blocks, (4) threaded green polka dotted ribbon through some off-white lace trim.

Challenges used for this card:
Really Reasonable Ribbon - #19 Green Theme
iCopic Lover - Color Challenge 19
ECP - #33 Green
Alphabet Challenge Blog - "R" is for Ribbon
Card Makin' Mamas - #16 Something Green

So were you close on your Sneaky Snippet Guesses yesterday? They will be announcing a winner Monday on the Whimsie Doodles blog.  In the meantime, check out the creations from our Doodlelicious Divas with these new images...
