Whimsie Wednesday Challenge #39 - Toes in the Water, Rump in the Sand

Wednesday means a new Whimsie Wednesday Challenge!! This week Nikki has came up with a 'Toes in the Water, Rump in the Sand' theme. You can get all of the details HERE. This month there are some exciting new changes for the challenges...
- Each week there will be a prize!! This week one random winner will receive a free image!
- Now you link up your cards to the Whimsie Doodles blog, versus their Paper Craft Planet page.
- Whimsie Doodles images are no longer required, but we would still love to see you use them for the challenge

The new Dottie Laid Back digi from Whimsie Doodles seems to be made for this challenge!! Just look at her lounging on her beach chair with drink in hand. The layout for this card comes from the latest CPS Sketch - 174. After I colored and cut out Dottie, I used some Dimensionals to adhere her to the the 'scenery' block that I created.

See that 'sand'? I asked my husband if he had some sandpaper I could have because I wanted to tear a piece to use on my card. He asked me all sorts of questions like size, coarse or fine, etc., then told me where I could find it. I grabbed the package and it was purple sandpaper. WTH?! I can't use purple sandpaper and have my card be taken seriously. I had to revert to Plan B which was adhering teeny tiny clear beads to a piece of kraft CS. I think it turned out pretty sand-like.

Challenges used for this card:
