Whimsie Wednesday Challenge #41 - Sketch

I am so exciting to be hosting this week's challenge at the Whimsie Doodles Blog - Whimsie Wednesday #41 - Sketch!! A couple weeks ago I made THIS card and just fell in love with the layout, so I decided to base my sketch on it.

I used the new Hugs digital stamp for my card. Wouldn't this cute little octopus cheer you up with 8x's the hugs?! It is hard to tell in the picture, but I have colored over the heart and circle bubbles with my glitter pen - added a little shine. :)

After I cut out all of my pieces I inked the edges with Desert Sand, then stitched each piece to the card front. Since my image was a bit larger than denoted on the sketch, I let it hang a little over the top of the card front. Once it was put on the card base I was still able to keep it within the 5.5" x 4.25" area.

I hope you will stop by the Whimsie Doodles blog and check out all of the challenge details. If you play along you can be entered to win a FREE Whimsie Doodles image!! WD stamps aren't required, but if you have them we would love to see them in action.

I am also having fun this week playing along with the Fan-Club-Only challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers. I have entered this card into one of their challenges. If you aren't already a Fan Club Member, make sure to check it out.
