The Doodlelicious Divas are celebrating the new Whimsie Doodles release and design team term with a blog hop!! If you stop by each of the Doodlelicious Divas' blogs you will get the chance to learn a little more about them and see some of their fabulous work using the new releases.

Here is a little about me...
Hello! My name is Alicia Ekermans (a.k.a. crafty_al) and I am thrilled to have been asked back for a 2ndt term as a Doodlelicious Diva!

I am currently a stay-at-home-mom to my 4 year old daughter and, as of
October 31, 2009, I have been married to my husband for 10 years. To make some extra money, of which I spend most of it on new stamps, papers, inks, tools, etc., I am a contract print production artist for a local printing company.

For a long time now I have considered myself ‘crafty’. From cross-stitching with my mom as a child, to taking my very first scrapbooking class in 1999, to my cardmaking (and craft-supply-buying) addiction I have now. Being able to get up to my craft room and create is like therapy for me.

I look forward to sharing my creations with all of the current and soon-to-be Whimsie Doodles fans out there.
For today's card I have used just one of the cute images and coordinating sentiments from the BRAND NEW Shellabration digi set! It is a set I am SHORE you will have to own.

I used CPS172 for the layout of the card. For the circle component of the sketch, I created a 'porthole' so it looks like you are looking at the fish through a window. To do this I used a couple circle Nestabilities to create the frame, then I cut some ShortCuts clear cardstock using the larger circle. Once this was adhered to the frame, I used Dimensionals to adhere the window to the card.

Since I had originally printed the image and sentiments on the same white cardstock, I used a COPIC marker to color the sentiment block to match the card. As a final touch I added some gems.

Here is a look at all of the images in the Shellabration set...
