Soar - Whimsie Doodles

Welcome back! If this is your first visit today, don't forget to check out my other post from this morning. Since my first term with the Whimsie Doodles DT is ending soon (as in tomorrow) I am playing a bit of catch up.One of my neglected sets, which has some of my favorite images, is the Every Other Day rubber stamp set.

You may recognize the clouds and hot air balloon from this post last week. Today I decided to use them again, along with the latest 2S4Y sketch, for a quick and easy card. I rotated the sketch for this sample and replaced the 4 squares with clouds. To give them a cloudy look I stamped the image onto ShortCuts frosted cardstock in StazOn White ink. This material allows the blue background paper to show through a bit. To adhered them to the card I used Mini Glue Dots. If you look closely you can see them, but it isn't enough to detract from the card.

After cutting out my colored hot air balloon, I used some Dimensionals to adhered it to the card front. I like the little extra depth this gives. The finishing touch was the 'Soar' rhinestone word. When I saw this in Michaels' $ bin it just had to come home with me.

Challenges used for this card:
