Whimsie Doodles - Arbor Day Challenge

It is time for a new Whimsie Wednesday Challenge over at the Whimsie Doodles' PCP group. This week Kelly is challenging fans to create a card for Arbor Day. I thought Swing Koale would be perfect for this card since his tire swing is most likely hanging from a tree.

The branch was made by printing out the tree from Sunny Day onto Kraft cardstock, then cutting off the 'leaves' and one of the branches. To give the branch more of a tree-like texture I used a wood background stamp on it.

The layout for this card came from the latest 2 Sketches 4 You sketch - Kazan #51. I cut the card base from a piece of ShortCuts clear cardstock. The button and circle sentiment were placed on the front of the card, then the larger green circle was placed on the inside. Because the card base is see-through, when the card is closed you are able to see both layers from the front.

Challenges used for this card:
Whimsie Wednesday Challenge #29 - Arbor Day
2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan #51
