Bottoms Up - Spring Card - Whimsie Wednesday Challenge

Wednesday means it is time for another Whimsie Wednesday Challenge at Whimsie Doodles' PCP Fan Page!! Joni is hostessing this week and has challenged the fans to create a card using a Whimsie Doodles image and the Spring Card Technique.

Today's card uses Whimsie Doodles' Ginger Muffin Top and Bottoms Up Sentiment rubber stamps. Since it looks like the little gingerbread man is sliding down the muffin, I thought the angles of the spring card would be perfect.

The muffin top was paper pieced and put together with foam dots. I added some glitter to the heart on his 'bum', and some liquid applique where his frosting should be. The ribbon on the muffin is topped with a floss-threaded button and I echoed this for the sentiment.

When I first saw the spring cards, I thought it must be complicated to get it to work. Well, I was wrong. These were so easy AND fun to create that I made two and will be back tomorrow with another one! Make sure to check out what the other Doodlelicious Divas are creating with their Whimsie Doodles images - all of the blogs are linked in the left sidebar.

And now a SPECIAL OFFER for fans and readers of my blog: Use the coupon code below (ALICIA10), the next time you shop at the Whimsie Doodles Online Store and receive 10% OFF your order!
