Tasty Droppings In Your Basket - Whimsie Doodles

Doesn't everyone want some tasty droppings in their baskets?! No, not THOSE kind of tasty droppings.. jelly beans, silly! :)

I created today's card using one of the sentiments from Whimsie Doodles' Easter Sentiments rubber stamp set. I just love Melyssa's quirky sense of humor when it comes to her sentiments. (Just wait until next month... there is a fabulously HILARIOUS set coming out)

The other day as I was perusing the SCS gallery, I ran into this card by Lisa Lara. I just loved how she made the sentiment such a main focal point of the card; almost like it was an image. I decided to give it a try and I switched my sample up a bit by tilting the sentiment tag and using a clear cardstock for the base.

Most of my papers are on the front of the card, but the mats are on the inside of the card. This helped to hide the adhesive on the striped and pink text papers. Normally I don't mind the adhesive showing through, since it is clear adhesive, but I tried it this way to add just a bit more depth to the card front.

To finish the card off I added a button tied with twine to the top of the sentiment block and then covered the stamped and colored 'tasty droppings', with glitter.

I'll be back later this week with another card using this set. It is packed with great sentiments and a few cute images. You can buy it at Whimsie Doodles' online store for only $15.00!!
